Our WFHS Marketing class teamed up with Fantomlight Video and Kevin McQuarn to create a short documentary on the "Hardwood Sports" Baseball Team. Our high school students volunteered their time so that they could learn more about professional video, lighting, writing good questions, the history of Hardwood, African American Baseball and ultimately, the history of the Hardwood Baseball Team. A Shout Out! goes to Catherine Ralph, Emily Stelly, Ashlynn Culley, Taylar Seymore, William Bergeron, Lily Holland, Amilya Malory, Clara Hughes, Morgan Barbe and Cade Grissett for making the upcoming video so special. | |

Congratulations to Ms. Wanda Deamer as she was highlighted by the Louisiana Fit Kids! | Londyn Messer, Landon Rourke, and Mason Oliveaux participate in a “brain dump” to review for their upcoming biology exam. Students were assigned specific concepts and “dumped” what they remembered onto their posters. Once time was called, groups rotated and added ideas to other posters. | Ms. Emily Vlosky’s World Geography students connected with Jimmy Sandy Memorial School on the Naskapi reservation in Kawawachikamach in Quebec. Students asked questions which focused on the five themes of geography. Students compared how the mining and oil industry have impacted their respective environments. |
WFHS swim teams hosted their second annual swim homecoming tailgate where they played corn hole and jenga. The corn hole boards were handcrafted by Mr. Chambers’s Agriculture II students. Lucas Felton, Andrew Dedon and Keilyn Washington enjoy the games.

Ms. Lacey Jewell’s 6th grade R2L class was the first class to meet Mrs. Lathrop’s 10 point AR challenge. ALL students in the class earned 10 AR points. As a reward they earned a party full of games at the “Hunting Camp”. | |
