Alexis Thomas is presented with a water bottle and gift certificate for answering a key question in her CNA class that was posed by Superintendent Hollis Milton. The question posed was "what is an incredible skill that you need to be an incredible CNA?" Her response "being an empathetic CNA."

Congratulations to WFHS student Madison Arbuthnot! She was accepted to the Young Entrepreneurs Academy held at LSU. 

At WFHS, senior NJROTC cadets teach first year cadets how to conduct military drill.

WFMS wants to give a “high five” to 5 students who’ve accomplished a tremendous achievement early in the school year. These students already had over 100 AR points by the end of August!! The WFMS Cross Country team had a great meet on Saturday! They competed well and were great teammates and showed outstanding sportsmanship! We are very proud of them!

Digital Communications students, Za’Nya Jones, Kaitlyn Whitaker, and Rylie Williams, are part of the special segments sports. They are presenting to the class their coverage of the first home Saints football game of the season. 🏈

Students in Mrs. Dara Boudreaux’s 7th grade ELA class participated in a hands-on, sensory lesson. They had to touch, taste, smell (no 👀 looking) and describe what their senses were experiencing.

WFMS 8th graders in Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Christman’s ELA classes enjoyed relaxing in the library to read their AR books during their library time last week. 

Our fifth grade students begin their DARE program led by the West Feliciana Parish Sheriffs Office.

School counselor, Jessica Walker, met with senior parents and students to discuss college options. 

Trinity Curtis follows safety protocols while working in the shop during Agriscience I.

The NCCER Carpentry, Electrical, & Welding Program at West Feliciana High School was honored by the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) at their annual Skilled Craft Workforce Development Awards Banquet held August 31, 2023. The West Feliciana High School NCCER Program was recognized as a Program of Excellence, which is GBRIA highest ranking for workforce development programs. 

 

Dr. Paul Theriot was recognized as the Craft Workforce Development Champion, which is GBRIA's version of the Teacher of the Year award.

At Bains Lower Elementary, Mrs. Rachel Moreau’s kindergarten class learned about and participated in a Socratic Seminar and Think-Pair-Share activity to discuss key details from the book, Last Stop on Market Street!
