Marleigh Gilmore was driven by her father in the Head Start drive through parade! Hello Pre-K!

Head Start student, Sophia Gayle, waved as others watched her ride through the parade. Hello Pre-K!

Bains Lower Pre-K Students, Eric Aguilar Caceres, Shep Whetstone, Emmarie Cheatham, Van Gilfoil and Charlie Campanella, lead the morning announcements and raise the Louisiana and American Flags to start the day at Bains Lower! The students do a great job!

Ms. Shaffer and Mrs. Causey’s classes collectively gave an end of year gift so that the children in rooms 201 and 202 at Bains Elementary would forever have an American flag, made in America, to salute every morning.

8th grade students celebrated their last week at WFMS with a Luau. A special "THANK YOU" to the GAP for hosting this event that is so special for the 8th graders! They enjoyed nachos, snowballs, music, and games.


The WFMS faculty, staff, 6th and 7th grade students said ”Bon Voyage” to the 8th graders as they dismissed WFMS for one of the last times as middle schoolers!

WFMS students celebrate Spirit Day at Main Event! Students bowled, played laser tag, completed a ropes course, and played arcade games.

The WFMS Gifted Program hosted a Living Wax Museum. All students visited the show through their Social Studies classes.

Transitional Life Skills students and ROTC cadets attended the “WFHS Kentucky Derby.” They played horse racing games, horse-themed bingo, sampled derby-themed refreshments, and wore homemade hats and bowties.

Ms. Ewing and Ms. Tynesha’s Pre-K student Stryker Fontenot 

uses pattern blocks to match shapes to pictures.

From the Garden to the Table: As a culminating activity, Mrs. Lanya Mayer and Layne Langley (LSU AG Department ) made carrot fries for the students from the harvested carrots in the school garden. District 7 Board Member, Mrs. Sarah Wilson-Rogers joined in on the fun!!
