Bains Lower student, Bella Terrel's Christmas wish came true when Private First Class John Paul Hanemann IV (Jace), a WFHS graduate, surprised his baby sister, Bella Terrel at her Kindergarten Christmas Concert.

Bains Lower's Kindergarten Concert was amazing as our kindergarteners sung with such joy, enthusiasm, and Christmas cheer.

Congratulations go to the WFHS Student of the Year, Maddie Temple!

On December 10th, cadets from West Fel’s NJROTC program presented colors during a memorial wreath laying ceremony to commemorate Pearl Harbor Day, attacks in the Philippines leading to the Bataan Death March, and honoring a Navy veteran who was killed at Pearl Harbor. Navy veteran John Russell Melton's remains were identified and returned to the family after 81 years using DNA.

The WFHS Varsity Cheerleaders placed first in the regional competition and received a bid to Nationals! 

Fifth grade teachers thank Bains administration for their M & M treat for the 12 days of Christmas!

5th grade teachers dress in their "mad about plaid" for the 12 days of Christmas.

Bo McDavid, a second grader at Bains Elementary, is a huge Saints football fan! His wish list to Santa included an X-box, a WF football helmet, and TED JACKSON! Mr. Larry, Ms. McDavid, and Ms. Nicole Means arranged a surprise meeting so Bo could meet his hero!  When Bo met Ted, he was so starstruck that he could barely speak, but Ted chatted him up and made Bo feel special. Ted signed one of his footballs and unclasped his #99 necklace and placed it around Bo's neck. Bo's beaming smile said it all- he felt like the luckiest boy in West Feliciana!

Students had a great time at Club Read last week! It was planned and run by library assistants John Levert, Landon Singleton, Bella Reich, Abigail D’Aquilla, Mallary Jones, and Zane Aymond. Students decorated cookies while discussing two great books and enjoyed one-eyed challenges and visual perception slides. 6th graders Jacie Martin and Brailey Beauchamp complete the one eyed challenge.
