Congratulations to fifth grader, Jake Monson, for winning the DARE Essay Contest! Jake will go on to compete at the state level.

Tristen Harris had an incredible National Meet! Tristen was the National Runner Up in the long jump with 20'4.25" (6.20m) and National Runner Up in the 4 X 200 Championship Series.

First graders in Mrs. Rodriguez & Mrs. McCune's classes are working on place value and exchanging 10 ones for 1 ten with pennies and dimes.

WFHS ProStart Students place 1st in Restaurant Concept and 3rd in Overall Management at the 2024 Louisiana Seafood ProStart Invitational. The WFHS restaurant concept, Porch and Parish, won the 1st place judges award! The menu featured unique twists on homestyle foods, including our signature dish for the Governer's mansion meal, king cake egg rolls.

Friends of Cat Island volunteers taught WFMS students in Mr. Craig, Mrs. Jewell, and Mrs. Tutor’s classes how to plant trees to help reforestation efforts at Cat Island National Wildlife Refuge in West Feliciana Parish. We are very fortunate to have this partnership!

A special note of gratitude goes to Ms. Dawn Simmons for speaking to our junior class about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving. Ms. Dawn lost three of her children to a car accident caused by a drunk driver.

WFHS students attended a Prom Resource Fair hosted by the West Feliciana Prevention Coalition. Students learned about about the dangers of driving under the influence, avoiding substance abuse, and ways to make healthy choices.
