Milwaukee Mayor Johnson visits CFI

Last month, CFI welcomed Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson to our campus for an overview of CFI services and a tour of our programs.

Department leaders shared and showed the many ways that clients spend their day, how each program integrates with others within the organization, and any challenges they face.

MCFI named a local food grant recipient

MCFI’s Food Service team is the proud recipient of a $500,000 award from the Wisconsin Local Food for Schools Program.

This award supports MCFI’s efforts to provide the most healthy and nutritious meals for children enrolled in the nearly 120 school partners that MCFI serves. The award, specifically, provides the opportunity for MCFI to expand our supply chain to include local, unprocessed, and minimally processed food from small businesses or socially disadvantaged farmers or producers.

We’re very excited to be part of the movement to incorporate locally sourced food into healthy meals for Wisconsin’s school breakfast and lunch program.

CONGRATULATIONS!

Rachel Leahy-Hilker, director of clinical operations and case management for the Milwaukee Center for Independence Behavioral Health Services was selected as a Notable Hero in Health Care by the BizTimes!
