Last Call for the

3x Best Rosé of 2022

Dear Artisans,

Burgundy's most sought-after Rose is so sublime, yet frustratingly always fleeting in availability.  (It's a Michelin-Star wine list darling...)

We secured the last 10 cases of the vintage—definitely their best one yet:

As for another finest Rose wine in the world...

Our initial Tempier allocation sold out in less than a day.

Our final tranche of 60 bottles lands next week.

Already Last Call - don't miss it!

"This is considered one of the best rosés in the world."

—James Suckling

"...absolutely seamless / The pristine balance, fine-grained texture, density without weight, and class throughout leave no doubt that this remains among the world’s finest rosés."

—Anthony Lynch

It's also Last Call for the year's best rose at a case-worthy price:

Don't relegate these to just hot days—these three are serious all-year-round companions (Thanksgiving, anyone?) that can also AGE for a few years.

Stay cool everyone!

Cheers,

—James Tran

2021 Domaine Charles Audoin Marsannay Rose, Burgundy

92 Points - James Suckling (for 2020 vintage):

"A beautiful pinot noir rosé that’s crisp and properly dry, but on the mid-palate it has some of the silkiness we associate with good red Burgundy. Delicate red-berry aromas that make you reach for the glass again. Drink now."

Allen Meadow's BurgHound (for 2019 vintage):

An airy and very pretty red berry fruit nose gives way to nicely punchy and textured flavors that are wonderfully refreshing. This reminded me quite a bit of a rosé Champagne without the bubbles!"

Winemaking:

Average vine age 30 years old. After meticulous triage, grapes are pressed with only one hour of skin contact to give the rosé its pink hue. Fermentation and aging occur in vats. It is bottled after eight months in order to preserve aromas.

2021 Domaine Tempier Bandol Rose

93 Points - Robert Parker's WA:

"Not included in the blind tasting at the local syndicate, Tempier's 2021 Bandol Rose nevertheless looked good when I tasted it at the estate. It's a very fine, elegant example of Bandol rosé, with notes of passion fruit and pink grapefruit leading the way in a tightly knit, medium-bodied package that adds promising hints of white peach and anise on the lingering finish." - Joe Czerwinski (Aug 2022)

Anthony Lynch:

"The big news in the last few years at Tempier has been the addition of new vineyards tucked away in a cool, high-elevation, late-ripening corner of the Bandol appellation, acquired in response to—and in anticipation of—a warming climate. Vigneron Daniel Ravier has integrated the fruit into the Tempier bottlings little by little as his understanding of this new terroir deepens, and as the vines respond to their new stewardship and biodynamic treatment. Recent releases suggest an absolutely seamless assimilation of these new parcels: this is textbook Tempier rosé, featuring zippy citrus zest, nectarine and peach, and a cool-fruited finish accented by a biting herbaceousness. The pristine balance, fine-grained texture, density without weight, and class throughout leave no doubt that this remains among the world’s finest rosés."

2021 Minuty "M" Provence Rose

94 Points - Wine & Spirits:

"The Matton brothers, Jean-Etienne and François, have managed their family estates since the 1990s, blending this wine from estate and purchased fruit. It feels substantive from the get-go, its core of dark flavor distant at first, slowly coming into focus along its structured length. With air, setmmy savor gives complexity to the cherry notes. The wine is airy and open, though, a faint sweetness making it all the more quaffable — that expansiveness brought my mind to a patisserie window, electric-red macerated berries perched atop puffy layers of pastry dough."
