HALLOWEEN 2020 is GONE IN SALEM
There are MONSTERS still out there. These monsters are not witches, goblins or zombies. They are our ugly secrets, both personal and societal which continue to bubble up and sometimes surprise us. They have been around for years. They are not pretty.
Now, in time of Covid, life has stopped, as we knew it. We cannot freely run off to the party, restaurant, movies or spa. We are staying quiet. Our personal lives are on pause. Are you expecting things to return to the old normal? Sorry - Not going to happen. It will never be the same. It will be the new normal for all of us and for our new society. Change is upon us.
Staying still gives us the time to review. Thoughts of unfinished business, unresolved situations, things we could have done better, things we never should have done and missed opportunities. Yes, there are many haunting thoughts which need resolution.
Even though we have been held back in many ways, we can still move forward mentally and spiritually. Life is a long journey. This interruption is a special time to go deep inside, and make spiritual adjustments by revealing, reviewing and revising. October, the Libra month, is the perfect time for balancing and applying the LAW OF FORGIVENESS to ourselves and other participants in our life story. We can do this through meditation and breathing.
MEDITATION WORKS. According to Deepak Chopra
- Renews your Body
- Decreases the Risk of Chronic Disease
- Reduces Anxiety
- Improves Sleep
- Maintains a Youthful Brain
- Increases Life Span
- Leads to Feelings of Renewal in Two Months of Practice
Deepak Chopra says: "If you are looking to renew your vitality, reset your focus, and recharge your body, meditation is the tried and true path that will lead you to the fulfillment of those goals. You don’t have to go anywhere or spend any money.
Begin by simply deepening your very next breath. Close your eyes, and continue those full, nourishing breaths for 10 breath cycles. Notice how just a few minutes of mindful breathing can initiate the renewal process. It really is as simple as that.
