Community Wellness Event at Upper Chesapeake - Red Dress, Pink Ribbon

In February, Nature Worx participated in a wellness event hosted by the Kaufman Cancer Center at Upper Chesapeake. The event focused on "Lifestyle Medicine," which promotes preventive healthcare and includes several pillars of a healthy lifestyle: a plant-based diet, adequate sleep, physical activity, mindfulness and social connection.

Nature Worx sessions are built around mindfulness and connecting deeply with nature. Studies show that spending time in nature promotes better sleep and has other benefits such as lowering heart rate, blood pressure, and cortisol levels. So when you attend a Nature Worx session, you're actually practicing "lifestyle medicine" and taking a proactive approach to better health!

If your organization would like to host a Nature Worx experience, we'd be happy to customize a session for you. Please contact us at phosmer@natureworx.org.
