A Challenge and a Promise

"Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house. And thereby put Me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need." Malachi 3:10

“We see plainly that the Lord has been with you.” Genesis 26:28a

The challenge given to us by God can create real tension with this world. The battle is for our money and, more importantly, for our heart. Like any conflict, there can be emotion — fear, anxiety, guilt, and maybe even envy or doubt. Be assured that our Lord knows this, as even the hairs of your head are all numbered (Luke 12:7).

Thankfully, and by His grace, anytime we are challenged with a considerable task, our Lord tucks us in with an awesome promise: that He is with us.

Most importantly, the challenge brought to us has nothing to do with our personal salvation or sanctification; however, those in this world are watching (Genesis 26:28). Through the completion of this ministry expansion, the Holy Spirit will reach for someone whose soul is worth saving — and indeed, all souls are worth saving. 

As Jesus told John to reveal to the Church in Philadelphia, “and they will learn that I have loved you" (Revelation 3:9b). No other goals competing for your heart and money show the next generation this.

About Mindful Monday Devotions

As we have officially launched our Tell the Wonders He Has Done ministry expansion campaign, we would like the congregation to join together by taking a moment each Monday to be centered in God's Word. This will not only be a time to consider financial commitments, but also an opportunity to stretch spiritually. Our intent is for these devotions to support that purpose.
