If you've ever lived north of the Mason-Dixon line, September brings great memories of cool mornings, Indian Summers, and changing leaves. Unfortunately, in Florida, it holds even more humidity and hurricanes. It's not what we want, but it's what we have. This is another example of how craving "something, anything else" leaves us unsatisfied. Instead, we can remember to say, "Right now, it's like this." The weather, the news, our families, our waistline. We can choose to take action to make changes, but first we need to acknowledge the reality of the present moment; only then can we act meaningfully. Where do you want to start?
Much Metta,
