Mindfulness involves being present in the moment. Noticing what is happening in the environment (outside of self) helps to be aware of what is happening on the inside (thoughts and feelings). 

Mindful parenting means that you bring your conscious attention to what's happening, instead of getting hijacked by your emotions. 

Learn new ways to strengthen the parent-child relationship, being emotionally available, and using empathy to connect at a deeper level.
