Greetings ~

Time flies, right? We celebrated the 11th Anniversary of DW Consulting Solutions in June.

And it was a bit of a shock to realize that today is the 21st Anniversary of 9-11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Certain historic events remain firmly planted in our memories as to where we were and exactly what we were doing at the moment of awareness. Our world was forever changed and I am more grateful than ever for all the entities in place to protect our freedoms. Today is a very sober reminder that Life can, indeed, be fragile. We need to do everything possible to appreciate each day and be grateful for our blessings.

Mindset Reset is something we spoke of in our August webinar. If not doing so already, now is the time to prepare for the fourth quarter and your expectations to come of it. You will manifest much better results if you let go of past 'misses' and focus on the results you truly want!

Congratulations to Publix, for being recognized as our September Corporate Social Responsibility business. "We are committed to social and environmental responsibility. We focus on business practices that protect and preserve the environment, support our communities, ..." Just Page 2 of their Publix Sustainability Report 2022 is quite impressive. 

I will be doing something I've never done before this month: Taking a 2-week vacation! My posts on LinkedIn will be infrequent with likely more of an emphasis on photo journaling as I delight in a 3k-mile road trip along the east coast. Pardon me for not posting tips about our favorite site or engaging with my valued network for a bit! In my absence, Dayve Gabbard, VP of Operations & DWCS Coach will be happy to assist you!

Recommendations Here's a great example of a LinkedIn Live Event conducted by Gillian Whitney featuring Teddy Burriss about Giving & Getting LinkedIn Recommendations. Gillian (my fav LI Video expert,) Teddy (a fellow LI advocate,) and I are all like-minded as to the use of LinkedIn. I am happy to promote them both! What if I don't want to publish my phone number on my profile?

We have clients who are concerned about including their phone number in their About section as we often suggest. The purpose is two-fold: #1 - make it as easy as possible for Viewers to reach out to you. #2 - Remember that until a Viewer is Connected to you, LinkedIn will not display the phone number you may have included in your Contact Info template link. Two Solutions: #1 - Get a Google # for free and have all calls forwarded to your number of choice or #2 - Include your CTA (call to action) in your LinkedIn Banner, the image area behind your headshot, which may now include phone number, email, and/or website. TIP: Phone numbers/emails displayed in the banner image are not able to be scraped by 3rd party software, thus cutting down on spam calls/emails/invitations to Connect! Thank you, Kevin D.
