A Beautiful Day

Last weekend Malvern Retreat House welcomed SoulCore and Peak Encounter Ministries for a truly blessed day. SoulCore was here for an overnight retreat. SoulCore is a movement that pairs core strengthening, stretching and functional movement with the prayers of the rosary. And, Peak Encounter is a ministry that organizes and leads hiking excursions and other outdoor experiences that integrate prayer, contemplation, and reflection while encouraging people to encounter God in his creation. The two groups came together on Saturday for what was called "Walk the Path of Mary: A Pilgrimage in God's Creation." It was a huge success! Father Jim offered Mass and the retreatants experienced a day of reflection, prayer and healing. We look forward to building upon this event and working with both organizations to develop and bring more retreats and programs like these to the Malvern community. SUPPORT MALVERN FORWARD

Please note: All Men and Women of Malvern onsite retreats are also broadcast virtually. The list of Retreats and registration is available online. Malvern Retreat House has also developed a series of modified special retreats for the remainder of 2020. The theme is "In Challenging Times - Take Heart and Have Courage". You can register on our calendar for the Retreats. The cost is $75. The upcoming dates for the two virtual evening sessions are October 20 and 22, November 16 and 17, December 8 and 9. The one day sessions are October 21, November 10, December 3.

Reminder about our Legacy Project: This project will entail short video recordings of 50+ year retreatants and will honor and memorialize our Jubilarians. EUCHARISTIC PROCESSION Outdoor Eucharistic Procession and Adoration will be held on Sunday October 18, on the grounds of Malvern Retreat House. We will begin at 2pm and gather outside of the Family Life Center. We will say the Rosary during the procession. There will be optional Stations of the Cross at 3p.m. This is a wonderful way of to honor God and enjoy the beauty of our grounds especially at this time of year. We invite you to participate in this special day.

WOMEN'S TEA "God Speaks to a Modern Girl" is the theme for the November 8th Women's Tea beginning at 2pm. Catholic author and evangelist, Sue Brinkmann will join us as the guest speaker. Sue will share her conversion story about how God came into her life and changed things for the good! Please join us on-site or virtually. The cost is $25 per person. The Rosary October is the month of the Rosary. This traditional devotion is so important. Padre Pio once said "Love the Madonna and pray the rosary, for her rosary is the weapon against the evils of the world today. All graces given by God pass through the Blessed Mother.” Certainly today the Rosary can guide us through hard times, bring us closer to God and our families, and restore peace in our hearts. The grounds of the retreat house are beautiful this time of year and we invite visitors to walk the grounds and pray the Rosary! "Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with you!"

Family Retreat Join us for a Family Retreat Day on October 25, 2020. This day long program begins at 9am with breakfast. Father Jim McGuinn will lead us in the day. Throughout the day there will be talks, time for reflection and there will be Mass at 3:30 with Dinner to follow. The cost is $45.00 per person, $75.00 per Couple and $200.00 per family. Register HERE. Spirit Power Join us for Spirit Power on Tuesday December 8th. The day begins at 9am and Mass will be at 3:30pm. Directed by: Marty Rotella, Singer/Songwriter and Evangelist. Special Guest Speakers Fr. Stephen DeLacy and Anna Iatesta. There will be uplifting music and powerful teaching and teaching. Mass will be celebrated on this Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Hospitality Coordinators Needed As Malvern Retreat House reopens, we have a need for Hospitality Coordinators. Hospitality Coordinators provide support to groups with their needs during the retreat.
