Please observe playground guidelines

While park district playgrounds are now open, we are aware that not everyone has been responsibly following the guidelines for usage. (Unfortunately, it is not feasible for district staff to enforce these rules 24/7 throughout our 45 parks.) With that said, please know that we will continue to monitor the situation for the safety of all Skokie residents, adapting the district's playground usage guidelines if needed, up to and including re-closing all playgrounds.

Again, please be advised that playground equipment is not sanitized, therefore patrons use playgrounds at their own risk and under the following rules:
  • Maintain a distance of at least 6-feet from others at all times.
  • When in the presence of those not in your stay-at-home group, wear a mask (covering your mouth and nose).
  • Carry hand sanitizer and sanitize frequently, and immediately after touching equipment.
