Ministry Minute

Prayers Answered

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with the will of God.
Romans 8:26-27

I have a simple thought for you today.

When our soul is touched by God we are forever changed. Whether it is Moses beaming as he comes down the mountain (Exodus 34:29), a couple of confused guys not realizing who they are talking to on the road (Luke 24:13-34) or an old woman with creaking knees kneeling at the altar rail for the thousandth Sunday in a row, when we listen, God speaks and changes our perspective.

This is what we are. A community of friends touched by God's grace in prayer ... in case you are wondering.

In peace

Annual Soup Drive - Every Can Makes a Difference!
It's time for the annual summer soup drive to support MESA Outreach
The generous members of Saint Aidan's have been a consistent blessing to those in need through your support of MESA Outreach.  Once the school year is ended, there is an increased demand for easy to fix meals for the children during the summer.  Last year alone, MESA provided over 3,000 families with nonperishable food assistance twice each month The collection of hearty soup this summer is paramount to supporting these families.
This will be our fourth year to hold a summer soup drive and we are asking for your continued support. Our goal is to collect 4,000 cans of soup to be sure children do not go hungry.  The familiar soup collection can will be in the narthex along with collection bags and an updated status of where we stand in meeting our goal. Heartfelt thanks and Blessing to our St. Aidan's Family
