"I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content."
I am not going to lie. I have been having fun lately. It is such a blessing to see our construction coming along, but I also really enjoy making the plans and changes as they come in. Exactly what would unnerve most people I have come to enjoy: Troubleshooting. I think part of that is my personality ( I am an improviser after all) but I think part of it is how I have learned overtime to appreciate the work in progress.
No work goes completely according to plan there are always adjustments, hacks, workarounds plenty of things to keep the priestly mind buzzing.
But living in a construction work in progress has helped me come to appreciate the soul work we do here as also in progress. Recently a couple different unconnected people have asked about visiting our church and they asked if it is ok for to dress casually. Whenever I mention that to a member of St. Aidan's they laugh out loud. That to me is the truest testament to a churches inclusion of everyone. That the suggestion of judgement is literally laughable.
I am so grateful for this church and I am so grateful to God because they both have the grace to let us be a work in progress.

Annual Soup Drive - Every Can Makes a Difference!
It's time for the annual summer soup drive to support MESA Outreach
The generous members of Saint Aidan's have been a consistent blessing to those in need through your support of MESA Outreach. Once the school year is ended, there is an increased demand for easy to fix meals for the children during the summer. Last year alone, MESA provided over 3,000 families with nonperishable food assistance twice each month The collection of hearty soup this summer is paramount to supporting these families.
This will be our fourth year to hold a summer soup drive and we are asking for your continued support. Our goal is to collect 4,000 cans of soup to be sure children do not go hungry. The familiar soup collection can will be in the narthex along with collection bags and an updated status of where we stand in meeting our goal. Heartfelt thanks and Blessing to our St. Aidan's Family
