Beaver Cross is looking for someone to assist at their after school youth group. This program serves Greenwich students and gives an opportunity to share the love of Christ daily. The program operates from end of school day to 5:30. Youth group counselors supervise the children’s play, participate in their daily Bible study, help distribute snack, and assist in fun activities like archery, high ropes, crafts, and more! Loaves and Fishes is a feeding ministry based in the kitchen and parish hall of the St. Francis Mission church in Arbor Hill area of Albany. The ministry provides a hot, healthy meal every to the people from this very needy neighborhood.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Thursdays | 3:30-5:30 PM


Saint John’s, Troy is beginning an after-school program of Christian education on Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. We will be using the celebrated method of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. This program, rooted in Scripture and Liturgy, enables children to draw near to God through reflective hands-on experiences. An introduction to this approach can be found here from the National Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Admissions at Saint John’s program for children ages 3 through 12 are rolling, and late arrivals due to school dismissal times are happily accommodated. For an opportunity to tour the classroom, meet Director of Christian Education Gaby Gastelum, and introduce your child to this opportunity, please be in touch with ggastelum@stjohnstroy.org or call (518)274-5884.

Matters of Life and Death: Legal, Medical, and Spiritual

A FREE course in how to plan for serious illness and death. You will learn how to do a power of attorney and health care proxy, plan your funeral, and dispose of your property by will or trust. Participate in person at Church of the Holy Cross (3764 Main St. Warrensburg) or virtually via Zoom.

The popular Candy Walk will feature pre-wrapped homemade candies sold by weight. Gently used treasures will be found in Grandmother’s Attic and crafts and holiday gifts will be offered by vendors. Free Children’s activities include making candy with the Christmas Elf and choosing a toy from Santa’s Sack. Tickets for the Annual Raffle will be sold and preordered fresh wreaths and kissing balls may be picked up. Advent Taize Service

December 9| 6:30 PM

St. Ann's Church | 37 Division St. Amsterdam


An Advent Taize service will be celebrated on Friday, 12/9 at 6:30 pm at St. Ann's, Amsterdam.  A Taizé worship service involves sung and chanted prayers, meditation, a period of silence, liturgical readings, and icons. There is no preaching. The style of prayer practiced at Taizé has attracted many worshipers from around the globe and from many different denominations The prayers consist of “short chants, repeated again and again,” according to an introduction in a Taizé songbook. “The words are sung over many times.”
