AFBF Advocacy Fly-In

In June, Young Farmers & Ranchers Chair Katie Wiese and Promotion & Education Committee Chair Cindy Durheim visited Washington, D.C. as part of the American Farm Bureau Federation's Advocacy Fly-In. While there, they met with legislators to discuss the farm bill and other legislation impacting farmers and ranchers in Minnesota and across the country.

State FFA Officer Visit

On June 16, the 2023-24 Minnesota FFA State Officers visited with Minnesota Farm Bureau staff and leadership at our Eagan office. It was a great afternoon of networking and learning for the group.

The Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation is excited to welcome Gracie Ash as the Communications Intern and Samantha Richert as the Foundation Intern for the summer of 2023.


Ash is a rising junior at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, and Richert is a rising senior at South Dakota State University.

Foundation Golf Scramble

The Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation held its annual Golf Scramble on June 20 at River Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove. 


Nearly 80 golfers took part in the day, raising over $11,000 for the Foundation and its efforts to support agricultural education, safety programs and leadership development programs across the state.

Beltrami County hosted its annual Ag Day Breakfast in June. The county also held a town hall event with local elected officials providing updates and answering questions.

Brown and Nicollet Counties held a farm bill listening session and Ag Trivia Night at Sleepy Eye Brewery.
