Minyan Updates

We are happy to present another week of indoor minyanim. We continue to consult with health experts and are monitoring the reported surge of local infections and are prepared to adjust our policies and practices as the situation requires. Due to our already cautious distancing standards, we are comfortable continuing to host our minyanim indoors under the protocols that already have been in place. We thank the community for their understanding, support and compliance with these protocols that allow us to continue offering these minyanim in a safe enviornment. However, certain relaxations that we were planning to trial this week, such allowing bathroom usage, will have to be pushed off to a safer time.

Requests / Feedback
We have received several request for additional minyan options, including outside minyanim and times that are not currently listed. Please note that we can only responsibly list options that will attract a full minyan of attendees. To request a minyan or add your vote, or for any other feedback or suggestions relating to our minyanim, please click here . We are eager to hear from you!

Torah Reading Safety Barrier
Thanks to Andy Lewis and his team at RNR Industries for the design and production of the plexiglass safety barrier to allow maximum participation during Torah Reading. Note that with this barrier's design, the aliyah recipient may choose to grasp the Torah handle (e tz chaim ). Hand sanitizers will be available nearby and we encourage use of sanitizer before and after the aliyah

Minyan Protocols
Who May Attend:
*Men and women above Bar / Bas Mitzva.
*Children aged 9 and up may join and sit next to their parent.
*Senior citizens may attend with explicit permission from a physician.
*Participants must not have exhibited any symptoms of illness in the past 14 days.

Registration:
*As mentioned above, this week no registration is required for weekday minyanim.
*Note that at Mincha / Maariv there are two parallel minyanim in the Main Shul and Heritage Hall. If, upon entering you see that there are no seats available in one location, please move to the other minyan location.
*Registration is required for Shabbos minyanim (Friday evening through Motzai Shabbos).
*Given the limited space, please make sure that you only reserve a spot that you can attend. Several people were unable to attend minyanim that were listed as "full" but in fact had several empty seats.
* Use this link to register on our registration lists hosted by "Signup.com". There, you can also see Minyan numbers in real time and adjust your selections as needed.
*This week two family members may sit together. This family "couple" sitting next to each other should take only ONE slot in the registration form.

Protocols for Participation (Shabbos and weekday):
*Participants must wear a face mask covering one’s nose and mouth at all times while in the building.
*There will be no access to bathrooms. Please plan accordingly.
*In an effort to minimize shared surfaces, the Shul will be a “no-touch zone.” Doors to the building and each room will be propped open and should be left open at all times. Please come in without touching any surfaces and go directly to the seat you choose for davening. Seats and other surfaces are disinfected regularly.
*Participants are encouraged to enter and exit through the doors closest to their chosen minyan.
*Bring Siddurim and Chumashim from home. Do not use the Shul's books.
*While there is tremendous value in interpersonal interaction, especially during these trying times, we discourage congregating before and after davening.
*Chairs have been positioned with careful calculations to ensure proper distancing. Do not move any chairs. Please remain by your seat throughout davening.
