Band and Colorguard perform spooktacular show named “Monster Mashup”!

October has been a busy month of field performances for the Costa Marching Band and Colorguard. They’ve been working hard since summer putting together a spooktacular show named “Monster Mashup.” On October 9th they performed at the Ayala Music in Motion Tournament in Chino Hills and on October 23rd they will perform at the 34th Annual Preview of Champions at JFK High School in Anaheim. They are most excited to perform for the home crowds during half time at the next home Varsity Football Game.
They also had an amazing opportunity to host the first Band Super Show at Mira Costa with bands all over Southern California in attendance. It was a fantastic, successful fundraiser and a chance to show off a wonderful high school.

Choir Students Lend Voices to Local Traditions, Student Leadership and more!

Students of both the Mira Costa Choirs and the MBMS Choirs have been in high demand as local traditions and time-honored events return to Manhattan Beach. On October 2nd, the high school choirs sang the National Anthem at the iconic MB 10K race. A few hours later, the middle school choirs sang the National Anthem at the much-anticipated Hometown Fair Opening Ceremony. These two performances mark just the beginning of a busy calendar of community events for all the choirs. Congratulations to the students on their perfectly-pitched return to the community stage!
