Welcome the Mohammadi family of 4 from Afghanistan- Mom, Dad and boys ages 2 and 7.

Before moving to California, Dad was a translator for the U.S Army and now works as a driver. The boys love playing outdoors and the book Red Riding Hood.
The Samimi Family
Please welcome the Samimi Family from Afghanistan! Mom and Dad have two sons ages five and six and are expecting a baby in March of 2021.

The six year old son loves to read Disney books and wants to be a doctor when he grows up! This family is in need of baby supplies, a bunk bed for the boys and basic home items.
The Azizi Family
Please welcome the Azizi family from Afghanistan! They arrived to US in 2017 reside in Roseville, California. They are family of four with two adorable boys ages eight and five.

The father graduated from the English Department of Kabul University. and worked as a translator. He was then promoted to admin/HR in Kabul, Afghanistan in a USID project. His lastest job was head of The Translation Unit at the USID Project. The mother is a full time Mom and she is learning English from home.
The Habibzada Family
Welcome the Habibzada family from Afghanistan! They are a family of 7; mom, dad and 5 children ages 4-13.

Dad has previously worked on USAID projects, and they arrived in the US in January 2019. The kids love playing with their new friends and neighbors, and while the parents have missed their friends and family back home, they are so happy to be here! They greatly need bedding for their family as well as items to help with distance learning.

The Samimis are Mom, Dad and 3 daughters who will be attending college next year. They are all learning English and their most urgent needs are laptops and household items.

Please welcome the Tokhai family! They first arrived in June 2019 and resettled in Sacramento. The family has two girls, ages 10 and 7, and one boy, age 5. Their oldest daughter, Maryam, loves Math and Science and her favorite season is winter. Let's make this winter a wonderful one for Maryam and her family as they settle into their new home!
The Rahimi Family
Please welcome the Rahimi family! Dad and Mom, with 2 girls & 1 boy, are expecting another baby girl in Jan 2021.

They arrived in June of 2019 and both Mom and Dad are currently taking virtual ESL classes. They are so happy to be safe here with their kids. Their most urgent needs are baby and household items, with baby's arrival just a few weeks away!
The Malikzada Family
Please welcome the Malikzada family! They are a family of six, consisting of Dad, Mom, and four children (aged 3, 7, 9, and 12 years old). Mom is currently pregnant with number five!

They arrived from Afghanistan to Sacramento in June 2019. The oldest child, 12-year-old Tawhidullah, aspires to become a doctor so that he can help his family. The family is in need of many items for their new home and new baby.

While living in Afghanistan Dad worked for a flour company, Mom was a teacher and all the children attended school. The youngest son is 11 years old, loves soccer and wants to be a doctor when he grows up! The family is in need of basic household items as well as a bed for Mom and Dad, a laptop for studying and kitchen supplies.
The Yousufzoy Family
A warm welcome to the Yousufzoy family! The young couple, with two girls ages 9 and 5 years old, arrived on October 2019 from Afghanistan.

Dad has a degree in Economics and has a strong background working with national and international organizations for almost 10 years. He is looking for a job now. Their needs include bedding, kitchen supplies, devices for distance learning, and rugs to make home cozy.
The Talash Family
Please welcome the Talash family! The Talash family are Mom, Dad, two daughters (ages 22 and 18) and three sons (ages 20, 14, and 10) who arrived in May 2019 to Carmichael, California from Afghanistan.

Dad worked as a Capacity Building Manager for USAID Projects back home and Mom was a full time parent. Their urgent needs include clothing, bedding, cleaning supplies and games. All four kids are in school and are in need of school supplies and laptops for virtual learning. The youngest son, 10 year old Bilal, loves story books, science, cricket, soccer, and to play games. Bilal’s dream is to be President when he grows up.
The Noorzai Family
Please Welcome the Noorzai Family! They recently relocated from Afghanistan to Sacramento in December of 2019. They are a family of 8 consisting of Mom, Dad, 3 boys and 3 girls ages 4-13 years old.

Dad worked in finance with American companies for over 5 years back home but has had difficulty finding work since arriving in the U.S. The children are enrolled in school but online classes have been challenging due to their lack of access to technology. They miss their friends and family in their homeland but they are thankful for their new home in Sacramento and have been pushing through. Please help meet their urgent needs and make their house a home!

Meet the Khan family from Afghanistan! They arrived to Northern California in March 2020. The family has 3 sons ages 5, 9 and 12.

In Afghanistan, dad was an accountant/tax specialist and also worked with the US Military. The family currently needs laptops and tablets for virtual learning as well as essential household items.

Please welcome Karimi Family from Afghanistan! This family of six arrived to the US in the beginning of 2020. Dad and Mom have four children between the ages of one to nine. Dad served in the US Army for twelve years and suffered an injury to his leg while serving. He is currently looking for jobs. The children miss the snow in Afghanistan. They are currently in need for some basic necessities to make their house a home!
