Los Angeles, CA - November 11, 2011 On Sunday, November 6th , a panel of distinguished judges chose Ana Valencia, of Redwood, as MISS CALIFORNIA LATINA™ and Jasmin Huerta, of San Francisco as MISS TEEN CALIFORNIA LATINA™ 2011 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, CA. TV personalities Jazmin Lopez and Lorenzo Newton hosted the event. INSTONE and Amanda September performed live during the competition. The pageant was presented by The Gala Company.
Ana Valencia is a 24-years-old graduate of Santa Clara University with a communications degree. She is an avid salsa dancer who dedicates much of her time to the youth of Silicon Valley as an outreach director.
 
Jasmine Huerta is 17-years-old and hobbies include Aztec dancing and theater acting. She hopes to one day become a sports reporter for ESPN. Jasmine is currently a senior at Mercy High School and is part of the National Honors Society.
The judging panel for the 2011 MISS CALIFORNIA LATINA™ and MISS TEEN CALIFORNIA LATINA™ Pageant included: Carla Avila, Bettie Page Clothing, Jason Bell, former NFL cornerback, Iran Daniel, On-Air Talent /Entertainment Correspondent for Telemundo, Cassandra Helms, Director of Operations, 9D Media, Rosie Ochoa, Miss California Latina 2008, Christian Pelayo, owner of Crown Diva and Nelson Rodriguez, Director of Customer Service for Verizon.
Throughout the two-hour event, contestants from the state of California competed in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview for the Miss category and fashion wear, evening gown and interview for the Teen category. Miss California Latina 2010, Cindy Salaues crowned her successor and Miss Teen California Latina 2010 Darcy Aguayo crowned her successor in front of a sold out crowd.
