As Our Conference Comes to a Close...
Once again we have had an exciting and informative Mission Conference! Special thanks goes to Rick Miller & Bob Williams for coordinating the event. We will conclude Mission Conference 2019 this Sunday morning with a sermon from Rev. Dr. Walk C. Jones. Dr. Jones is the Director of Church Relations for Westminster Communities of Florida, a PCUSA-related retirement home system.
A Heart for Missions...
First Presbyterian Church has always had a heart for missions. Our Annual Mission Conference has always been an opportunity to not only learn more about missions in our area and around the world, but to help contribute to their causes by giving financially.

On Sunday you will have the opportunity to place a pledge card in the offering plate of your commitment to INUA and Abracadabra Foundation. If you prefer to go ahead and make a one time donation, you may do that as well. Contributions may also be made electronically through our website. Make sure to indicate that the funds are for Mission Conference 2019.

Please prayerfully consider donating to these two
extraordinary organizations!
Help Welcome Pastor RJ

Pastor RJ’s first Sunday with us will be February 17th. In preparation for his arrival, we have some things you can do to make him and his family feel welcomed!

  • Name Tags - If you don’t already have a name tag, please consider wearing one for the first few months after Pastor RJ’s arrival. He’ll have lots of names to learn and this will help him on Sunday mornings! If you don’t have a name tag, please contact Susan in the church office and she will make you one.
  • Send cards - There will be a basket for cards in the Narthex for the next two Sundays. You can also send the cards to the office.
  • Stock the Pantry - There also will be an area in the Narthex for the next two Sundays where you’ll be able to drop off items to help stock the manse’s pantry. Feel free to bring food, snacks, cleaning supplies, paper products, etc. We want the Leeks to have all supplies they may need come moving day.
  • Sign up for meals - If you’d like to bring a meal to the Leeks, please sign up with Annie Logan on Sunday. Not a cook? Send a pizza or even bring them a gift card to a local restaurant.
  • Welcome Reception - We will have a welcome reception on Pastor RJ’s first Sunday, before and after the 10 am worship service in the Fellowship Hall. Please come early or stay a few minutes after to get a chance to meet RJ, his wife Trisha, and their daughter Chloe.
Come support the FPC Chancel Choir This Monday, February 11th at 7:00 p.m. as they perform once again in the Crescendo Choral Festival!

We still have a limited number of tickets available! Contact Kathryn to reserve tickets now, or see her after Worship on Sunday. First come, first served!
Save the date for our first ever Princess Concert to be held on Saturday, February 23rd at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted. All funds raised will go to help cover the cost of sending our staff to Music & Worship Arts Week 2019.
