“I had the pleasure of attending AFP ICON 2021 virtually from the comfort of my home – thanks to my scholarship from AFPSEWI! It was an incredible experience to expand my knowledge within the fundraising profession. Several highlights of my ICON experience included: Fundraising & Harassment – What No One Is Talking About, 10 Ways Your Fundraising Data Can Help Your Communications, and Managing Up – How to Get Your Boss (or Anyone) Excited about Fundraising. All sessions were well-executed, and I felt I was able to take what I had learned and immediately apply it to my professional role. After pivoting my career a few years back, I found ICON to be a wonderful opportunity for networking, professional development, and building upon my existing expertise.
