The Thrift Store continues to grow and help people find what they need at reasonable prices. And remember, we have gift cards! You can purchase one to give to a friend, relative, neighbor, coworker or person in need. You can also purchase one in honor of someone (you can even designate which of our local public schools to have the gift card sent) and we'll send the honoree a note telling them about it. You can purchase these at The Thrift Store or the Missions Office.

Our Thrift Store manager, Lacey has resigned in order to spend more time with her family. That means we will be looking for a replacement. If you know of someone who might be interested, let them know. The job will be posting soon.

Outreach Through the Thrift Store
Last weekend we had the opportunity to meet a family of three that had lost their apartment in the Walker Springs Apartment fires. We made a contact with this family through Compassion Coalition and Headstart. They have moved to another apartment complex to live but needed to replace everything. Their friends and family had helped some but there was still more that was needed. Because of your generosity, the Mission Fund helped them shop for furniture, housewares, clothing, sheets, toys and provided a $100 gift card to the Thrift Store so they can purchase other items as they need them. We are thankful to be able to provide support for local needs.

MEALS FOR
WESLEY HOUSE GRANNIES
If your small group is looking for something rewarding to do, we have a great idea for you. The Wesley House grannies meet each Friday for lunch and bingo. They need groups to provide the meal and small items for bingo prizes. They really like paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc. At the moment, they have MANY openings so if you would like to help with this, contact Porschia Picket at 865-773-7613 or email porschia@wesleyhouseknox.org
