Ministry Developments Grants Announced
Congratulations to twelve of our parishes and collaborative ministries on being awarded Ministry Development grants this year. All twelve applied for grants in March and all received either full or partial award for their various proposals.

With a budget of $70K for 2022, and applications totaling $86,970, the MD grants team each year has difficult decisions to make. However, the team truly is blessed in having this opportunity to encourage all ministries and parishes to dream of new opportunities for outreach to underserved populations.

Grants were awarded this year to:
  • St. Paul's, Gardner
  • Trinity, Lenox
  • St. Andrew's, Longmeadow
  • Good Shepherd, Oxford
  • Cathedral of the Beloved, Pittsfield
  • Christ Trinity, Sheffield
  • Southwick Community, Southwick
  • Christ Church Cathedral, Springfield
  • St. Stephen's, Westborough & St. Paul's, Hopkinton (a DioMass and EDWMA collaboration)
  • Williams College Chaplaincy & St. John's, Williamstown
  • St. Matthew's, Worcester
  • Young Adult Ministry Network

Information Session for interest in sponsoring Ukrainian newcomers
"EMM has partnered with Welcome.US to amplify the call to action for 100,000 Americans to step up as sponsors and welcomers for Ukrainian newcomers

President Biden announced that 100,000 people forced to flee Ukraine can seek safe haven in the United States. Beginning April 25, they can apply to come here under a government program known as 'Uniting for Ukraine.' But coming to the United States through this pathway requires support from a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or other legally-residing individual – including representatives of non-government organizations.

After completing the form, you will be invited to attend a Neighbor to Neighbor (NtN) Information Session, offered weekly on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM ET. EMM is working with its external partners to determine how Uniting for Ukraine will be mapped into the NtN program. We invite you to begin to learn more about Neighbor to Neighbor and the responsibilities of community sponsorship."
