Cathedral to host Acolyte Festival

Oct 19, 11am

Springfield, MA

Christ Church Cathedral along with St. Paul's, Holyoke and St. Peter's Springfield are hosting an acolyte festival.

The post-Covid church has seen a decline in acolytes and we hope to generate some new interest by bringing as many acolytes together as we can to enjoy fellowship and learn the important craft of serving at the altar!

The day will feature a tour of the cathedral, workshops, games, food and lots of fellowship with friends you haven't met yet!

Creation Care

An Episcopal Path to Creation Justice

An Episcopal Path to Creation Justice is a four-level program now being developed in Massachusetts to encourage and support our congregations to amplify and accelerate their response to the climate emergency.

After a successful pilot, An Episcopal Path to Creation Justice is growing in Fall 2024. Parishes around Province I can sign up by the end of August to explore their unique Path.

Path parishes will have a trained Companion walking with them as they discern how their parish can deepen their commitment to caring for creation by Praying, Learning, Acting, and Advocating. Path parishes will also be in fellowship with each other via monthly Zoom gatherings.

If you think your parish might be interested, speak with your rector and vestry and reach out to Rev. Rachel Field and Deb Baker at episcopalcreationpath@gmail.com

Celebrate St. Francis Day at Agapé

Oct 5, 10am

Hardwick, MA

"Join us at Agape for our 42nd Annual St. Francis Day celebration. Our theme is Growing the Community of Communities. How can communities of Faith and Action continue to sustain themselves, as they face the ecological and social crises of the 21st Century?

To address this question, we call on activists, students, theologians and practitioners of nonviolent resistance from all faith traditions, to reflect on the challenges we currently face and the possibilities we can collectively actualize. It’s a day for remembering our roots and enfleshing our future."
