Hope Street Food Collection
Join us in caring for our neighbors through our partnership with Hope Street Food Pantry.
Bring non-perishable food donations to UCUMC on Sunday, April 19 or Sunday, April 26. We’ll have volunteers ready at the front entrance beginning at 9:00 AM to help receive your items. You can also drop donations in the black and yellow bins outside the church office throughout the week.
Want to be part of the hands-on fun? Help us collect and organize donations on April 19 or April 26. Click the button to email Beth Randolph.

This year marks 20 years of faithful partnership with David Cox Road Elementary School - a relationship built on care, consistency, and community. From monthly goodies to events like the Souper Bowl Luncheon, UCUMC continues to show up in meaningful ways.
Looking for a simple, hands-on way to make a difference? Spend a few hours helping organize the school’s clothing closet - a practical way to support students and families directly.

Teacher Treats
Help us remind teachers on our campus just how appreciated they are!
Each month, we provide small treats to the teachers at Ignite Achievement Academy and UCUMC’s Weekday School as a tangible expression of our gratitude.
This year, groups like FaithKeepers, Journey, Reflections, Cornerstone, Covenant Keepers, and M&Ms have shared the love - thank you! A special shoutout to Karen Pocta and the FaithKeepers for serving three times this year.
We still have an opening for May - your group, family, or friends can make a big impact with a simple act of kindness.

Dahlia Grove
In March, UCUMC came together to support Dahlia Grove by collecting cleaning and hygiene products for the women in their restorative care program. Dahlia Grove provides a two-year, rent-free home along with resources for healing and recovery - offering both stability and hope.
Because of your generosity, over 200 items were delivered last week! Many were multi-packs, including toilet paper, cleaning supplies, feminine products, room fresheners, paper towels, and lotions.
Thanks to this outpouring of support, Dahlia Grove is now well stocked for the months ahead—a tangible reminder to these women that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

A Princess Closet
On March 14, UCUMC had the joy of hosting an event for A Princess Closet, serving high school girls preparing for prom who needed a gown.
Each young woman was welcomed with the full “princess experience” - sparkling cider, sweet treats, and the chance to choose a dress they loved, along with shoes and jewelry to match.
UCUMC not only provided the space and refreshments, but our Sew and Sews team lovingly offered alterations to ensure each dress fit just right.
It was a beautiful day of confidence-building, celebration, and helping these young women feel truly special.

| HarborLight in West Virginia
From March 13–25, Kristi Miller, Tori Rios (and Aly!) spent time with our mission partners at HarborLight.
During their visit, they hosted a birdhouse craft event, prepared and served dinner for the church community, and provided breakfast for families before joining in Sunday worship. These simple, shared moments continue to deepen relationships that have been growing for years.
Looking ahead, a larger mission team will return June 13–20 to serve at HarborLight - hosting VBS for all ages, providing nightly dinners, organizing a women’s luncheon, and visiting a local nursing home with gift bags and companionship.

Room in the Inn (RITI)
For 27 years, UCUMC has partnered with Room in the Inn to provide shelter and care for neighbors experiencing homelessness during the winter months.
As this season comes to a close, we give special thanks to Matt Summers for his leadership, and to the many individuals and groups who gave their time, energy, and compassion.
Because of you, our church continues to be a place of warmth, dignity, and belonging for our whole community.

Through REACH, UCUMC supports mission partners both locally and globally - meeting needs, building relationships, and sharing hope in tangible ways. Every meal served, every child supported, and every partnership strengthened is made possible through your generosity.
As we continue this work in 2026, we invite you to consider becoming a regular REACH giver. Ongoing monthly gifts - of any size - provide the steady support that allows these ministries to plan, grow, and respond to needs as they arise.
If you’ve been meaning to set up a recurring gift, now is a great time to take that next step. Just choose "REACH Missions" from the drop down menu.
