Do Not Let Your Hearts Be Troubled

Rev. Bobby Musengwa

Transitional General Presbyter

Jesus assures them that even though their relationship is changing, it is not ending. Even though he will no longer be with them in the flesh, they will remain connected. Jesus is going to prepare a place for them in his Father’s house, where they will remain united to him forever, ‘so that where I am, there you may be also.’ Our true home is with God, in God’s heart.

Making History Today: Missionaries to China

James S, Currie, Executive Secretary

Presbyterian Historical Society of the Southwest

Many have known John and Lib Minter through their work in churches in this country – Uvalde (1935-37), Taft (1942-45), Cuero (1950-54), Grand Avenue in Sherman (1954-64), and University in Houston (1964-71). However, on two different occasions they were missionaries in China (1937-41 and 1945-50). At the 1992 annual meeting of the PHSSW Lib Minter presented a paper on “A Tale of Two Texans in China” – her story with her husband John as missionaries to China.

A Leader Formation Webinar

Being Presbyterian in a Dysvangelical America

The authors of the newly released book “Being Presbyterian in a Dysvangelical America: A Guide to Reclaiming the Good News of God’s Grace will join the Co-Moderators of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)’s 226th General Assembly for a conversation about the book’s core theological framework, interwoven with stories the Co-Moderators have gathered while traveling with the church during their term. Through participation in this webinar, ruling elders and deacons will be equipped to articulate and gain clarity about the PC(USA)’s identity within today’s cultural context.

This week we are praying for the staff and guests at Mo-Ranch, especially as they prepare for their summer season.

The Hispanic Mission Ministry Network met at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary for their Annual Gathering. With the theme of Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow, they were able to worship, fellowship, learn, and dream about the future of both HMMN and their respective ministries together.
