Camp & Retreat Sunday

Sunday, February 8, is Camp and Retreat Sunday! What better way to celebrate than by encouraging the families in your congregation to register for camp! Registration for summer camp is now open at John Knox Ranch, and spots are filling fast. Include THIS INSERT in your bulletin or THIS SLIDE in your morning announcements to spread the word about camp registrations. You can also access a camp sharing tool kit here (https://johnknoxranch.org/campsharingtoolkit) for videos, graphics, and more to share about John Knox Ranch.

Campers enjoy swimming, archery, rappelling, rock climbing, arts and crafts, nature discovery, ropes challenge course, Bible study and spiritual formation, canoeing, sharing homemade family-style meals, overnight campouts, and more. Learn more and sign up at https://johnknoxranch.org/summer-camp.

Please join us in praying for the congregations, clergy, and staff of Parkway Presbyterian Church, Corpus Christi; First Presbyterian Church, El Campo; St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Marble Falls; Memorial Presbyterian Church, Fredericksburg; and First Presbyterian Church, Pleasanton.

True Worship Demands Justice for All:

 A Micah 6:8 Reckoning

Madison Square and other members of Mission Presbytery joined other Christians to bear witness at Dilley Detention Center, Texas

Rev. Bobby Musengwa

Transitional General Presbyter

Is your Sunday worship reflected in your weekday action? This reckoning challenges Mission Presbytery—a Matthew 25 Presbytery—to honestly examine its commitment to justice, kindness, and humility, particularly concerning the current immigration crisis. The prophet Micah demands true worship is not complete without action for the vulnerable, and Christ is present in the immigrant in our midst. Read on for a bold call to expand the circle of compassion and live out our faith with courage and conviction.
