Because Presbyterians love Gospel Music

July 16, 2026

Dear Friends,

The presbytery office has been in touch with our brothers and sisters in the Hill Country, Uvalde, Boerne, Pipe Creek, and Del Rio. As of this writing (Thursday morning), all is well with the churches. We have heard of two ministers whose houses were flooded.

Do keep all in your hearts, in your prayers, and in your minds during these challenging days.

Weeds and Wheat Growing Together

Rev. Bobby Musengwa Transitional General Presbyter

Have you ever wanted to rip a weed out of your garden right now, no matter what else got pulled up with it? That is the itch Jesus is naming in this parable. Matthew tells us Jesus was still sitting in a boat, teaching the crowds gathered on the shore.

We are having FUN at camp at JKR!

Here is a slideshow of highlights from our second Mini Camp session this summer.

Presbyterian Children's Homes & Services - Central & West Texas - is in need of churches to help collect or purchase items on this registry of needed supplies for their Back To School effort.

A Note from Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services

As the longer days pass - we realize school begins earlier each year & 2026 is no different! Now that you're thinking about the approaching school year, the children of PCHAS will again need much needed supplies to start off the new academic year.

Digital Donations, Real‑World Risks:

What Churches Must Know About Venmo, Zelle, and Cash App

As digital payments become a normal part of everyday life, churches across the country are embracing platforms like Venmo, Zelle, and Cash App to make giving easier and more convenient. However convenience always comes with a cost—and in this case, that cost is increased fraud exposure, record‑keeping challenges, and stewardship risks that many ministries are not prepared to manage.
