The Floods of Summer 2026: Grief Piled on Grief, Hope Still Standing

Rev. Bobby MusengwaTransitional General Presbyter

Three hundred and seventy days. That is how much time passed between the two floods. Two "1,000-year" rain events. In the same Hill Country. Fourteen months apart. This time Uvalde and several other communities were hit hard as well. If that number stops you in your tracks, good.

Please join us in praying for the pastors, congregations, and staff of the following churches:

First Presbyterian Church, Mission; First Presbyterian Church, Beeville; Presbyterian Church of Lake Travis; Nicea Presbyterian Church, Victoria; St. Mark Presbyterian Church, Boerne; First Presbyterian Church, Del Rio; First Presbyterian Church, Smithville; and Tivoli Presbyterian Church, Tivoli.

Because Presbyterians Welcome One Another

Grace Presbyterian Church welcomed Rev. Bobby Musengwa, Transitional General Presbyter of Mission Presbytery, to worship with us. His message, "We Are the Church," beautifully complemented our Mission Month as we prepare to partner with Rise Against Hunger this Sunday to package nutritious meals for people facing hunger around the world.

If you're in the area, we'd love it if you joined us!

Attention All Regions!!

Don't forget that the Connect Committee is offering a $1000 grant for each region to fund a connectional event. This can be anything from a group dinner, a service project, a dance party, or a baseball game. The only requirement is that the event is open to everyone in the region (for example, it can't be a youth-only event). Only one region has applied so far in 2026. Click below to submit an application for your region.

Digital Donations, Real‑World Risks:

What Churches Must Know About Venmo, Zelle, and Cash App

As digital payments become a normal part of everyday life, churches across the country are embracing platforms like Venmo, Zelle, and Cash App to make giving easier and more convenient. However convenience always comes with a cost—and in this case, that cost is increased fraud exposure, record‑keeping challenges, and stewardship risks that many ministries are not prepared to manage.

Are you a lay preacher interested in connecting with other lay preachers?
