Because Presbyterians love BBQ for a good cause

The Holy Smoke BBQ for the Presbyterian Cluster Habitat for Humanity at Covenant Presbyterian Church in San Antonio raised funds to help complete their 2026 Habitat House. Many thanks to all who organized, donated food and/or auction items, had a part in the program, attended, made a donation, bid on auction items or contributed in any way.

Stated Clerk's Notes

Stated Clerk Laurie Palmer reminds Clerks of Session that the Annual Statistical Report will open later this year and encourages churches to prepare in advance. Expressing gratitude for those who attended the recent presbytery meeting, she highlights the Serve Committee’s focus on addressing food insecurity amid a potential government shutdown, and invites churches with food pantries to share their experiences so the presbytery can offer support.

Because Presbyterian Women love to raise money for good causes...

Women of First Presyterian Church Georgetown modeled fashions from the thrift boutique of The Caring Place at a Ladies' Night Out in October, sponsored by Presbyterian Women. The event raised money for the PW Christmas Project, the new Isaiah 117 House in Georgetown, where children can stay while awaiting foster placement. Food, fun, fellowship and support of two local nonprofits made it a night to remember.

Because Presbyterians love to welcome new members

On Sunday, October 19, FPC Rockport had an Installation of New Members, with these two couples it marks 44 new members since January 2022.
