Mission 803- Report (July 2026)

Dear GOW Supporter

July 20, 2026

Departure: Cleveland, Ohio

Arrival: Newport News, Virginia

MISSION REPORT 803

55 year old Shelby Lynn has a history of Hodgkin's Lymphoma from several years ago for which she received radiation. She also has radiation-induced heart disease which she has been battling for many years in addition. She has been at the Cleveland Clinic since January.

She and Phil have been married for 14 years and live in Virginia. He served in the United States Navy and Shelby taught kindergarten and 1st grade. She has 3 children.

Shelby has decided to go on hospice care for now and is able to finally return to Virginia. Phil's voice is full of such compassion and love for her every time I speak with him. He is very protective.

It is overcast in Cleveland when Hal, Claire and Terri land. Claire is partial to Cleveland as it is the home of her beloved Browns and don’t worry she got a great aerial picture of the stadium which I am sure made her day.

She and Terri are taken to the Clinic via ambulance to Shelby’s bedside. Shelby has medium length light brunette hair, rosy cheeks and is wearing a green and blue flannel over her hospital gown. They gently move her over to our cot and ventilator for her transport.

After returning to the airport she is prayed over and placed and secured in the aircraft.

Her flight is not too long and she seems to rest well. Claire and Terri took great care of her in flight. Phil is driving back home.

When they arrive in Virginia they are welcomed by bright sunny skies and beautiful warm temperatures. Claire, Terri and Shelby transfer to the ambulance for a ride to the Select Specialty Hospital that is waiting to take over care for her.

Please keep her and her family in your prayers as she has been through so much over the years with her health.

PSALMS 91 11-12

FOR HE WILL COMMAND HIS ANGELS CONCERNING YOU TO GUARD YOU IN ALL YOUR WAYS: THEY WILL LIFT YOU UP IN THEIR HANDS

Thank you to Hal, Claire and Terri for covering this flight.

Blessings,

Shelli RN
