Core Crew

As folk around the region can attest, Week of Compassion is very busy, and is looking for volunteers that can work on a consistent basis--be a part of the Core Crew.

Week of Compassion is hosting Disaster Leadership Training later this fall. There will be a virtual training on October 9-10, and a follow-up in-person training on November 6-10.

Current Core Crew positions are Volunteer Experience Leaders and Disaster Rebuild Leaders. For more information.

LGBTQ+ Youth Retreat

This weekend retreat for Disciples LGBTQ+ youth (grades 8-12) is a time for new friendships, sharing of experiences, and attending to one's spiritual connection. Retreaters will hear from a keynote speaker, share in worship and workshops, and explore some sites of St. Louis. This event is supported by multiple regions, including the Upper Midwest. Is your church doing something new or creative? Are you finding a unique way to serve a need in your community? We want to hear about it and share your story with the rest of the church! Our goal is to share at least one new idea from a congregation each time we publish this newsletter.
