Global Impact’s 17th year of Catalyst Leadership Academy (CLA) kicked off with the theme MISSIONS - to the ends of the earth! Our team flew to Northern Philippines to conduct our first CLA 2025 trainings with Church So Blessed and Wipe Every Tear.

TAKING JESUS TO “WALKING STREET”

Global Impact went to the Red Light District called 'Walking Street' in Angeles City to help distribute 400 food packs across various bars in this area. Most of these women are in very desperate situations and a meal is gladly received. Each meal is also an invitation to a local welcome center with food, counselling and ministry.



Southeast Asia is a hotspot for sex trafficking. Poverty, desperation and abuse are vulnerabilities preyed on that make many susceptible. They are coerced into the sex trade through promises of a better life, force, threat, debt bondage, deception and fraud.

In Philippines up to 400,000 women are trafficked annually.

We are thankful for Wipe Every Tear and Church So Blessed for their amazing work that offers a way forward to those whose story is one of hardship, poverty, abuse and heartbreak.

400 food packs were distributed across various bars. Each one was a small gesture of care and compassion.

“We will GO into all the world, including red light districts. Tonight we distributed food packs in the bars and on the streets of Angeles City. The women are hungry, and in most cases take the food and start eating right away. Each pack contains an invitation to the Wipe Every Tear and Church So Blessed welcome center for early morning (2 AM to 5 AM) breakfast. It is here these women can be further ministered to & counseled.”

FROM AWARENESS TO ADVOCACY

Trauma Informed Care 3 Day Training

Understanding the issues around all forms of human trafficking and exploitation is the first step to becoming the solution. Global Impact’s April training equipped ministry workers and other frontliners to intervene, advocate and create safe spaces where healing and justice can thrive.



Through guided workshops and role-playing scenarios, participants stepped into the shoes of survivors to apply what they learned in practical ways. The last day of training included the documentary “Nefarious: Merchant of Souls” exposing the harsh truths of human trafficking. Global Impact’s “Broken Crayons” video screening showed the life changing impact of intervention. Pastor Amy also delivered a message with the encouragement to place what we have in God’s hands so that it can become something far greater than we could ever imagine!

Teaching Churches How To Run Youth Camps!

SAMA YOUTH LEADERSHIP CAMP was not only an amazing camp but a hands on training for the leaders of Church SO Blessed on running a camp CLA style!

Participants from Church So Blessed gathered for a time of transformation, empowerment and growth. Ice-breaker games started off the camp with laughter, connection and a joy-filled expectancy.



Sessions included: Expressive Worship reminding us true worship is a life wholly surrendered to God and Empowered Forgiveness where hearts were healed. Teambuilding events helped develop communication and leadership skills.

A special time was the Girls & Guys sessions – breaking up into these groups created a safe space for honest conversations and deep connection. The Father’s Love was a deeply impacting session as participants studied and experienced Father God’s complete acceptance and unconditional love.

Breaking free from toxic patterns and building healthier relationships was the focus of “Healthy & Unhealthy Emotional Attachments”. “You Are Gold” instilled each young person’s identity and value in Christ. The camp’s last day ended with a powerful commissioning – sending each one into their calling with hearts ignited for God’s purpose. It was a launching point into destiny!

UKRAINE

OUTREACHES BRING HOPE THIS EASTER

Last month, your generosity reached two regions in Ukraine!

In Dnipro, our partner church supported families living in frontline areas heavily affected by the war. Your donations provided 200 food packages, the rent of the church and an Easter party for 20 children.

In Onufrievka, 400 adults and 60 children were in attendance for a joyous service celebrating Christ’s resurrection! The day included a prayer for the soldiers and peace in Ukraine, a message reminding all of the triumph of life over death, an Easter musical performance and gifts for each family. It was an unforgettable day, filled with joy and God’s presence.

Earlier this month, your generosity impacted 80 people with the message of the Gospel and also provided funds to cover the church building's rent for the month in Dnipro, Ukraine.

We are deeply grateful for those who persist in praying for peace and supporting our outreaches in Ukraine. Your generosity has provided comfort and support to Ukrainian's who have experienced anguish and loss.
