On Saturday, leaders from the Thrive group in Kenya will finally be able to visit the "Thrive Junior Group" (middle school girls) in Mathare. Pray the young women in Thrive will be an encouragement to these middle school girls and help by providing much-needed food and essential health care items.

Mike and Vickie Reynen will be traveling from the U. S. to Togo on Tuesday, August 11. Pray for the details of this trip including, the COVID-19 tests they will take before they leave and upon arrival in Togo, the logistics of their travel, and good health. Once there, they will be involved in several duties, including training sessions and packing up their apartment in Lomé. Plans are for them to return to the U.S. on August 29.

Pray for Dr. Darin Land as he works on a set of videos for the Gethsemane School of Leadership Training (GSLT). The aim is to train and equip leaders effectively, even though the teacher cannot be physically present. Pray for those who will be teaching the GSLT modules as they write scripts for these training videos.

Praise the Lord the debt on the Bible college property in Yangon, Myanmar, has been paid in full with a modest surplus made available for current needs. A plan to provide scholarships for students in unfolding. Pray for the students and the school as they adjust to restrictions still in place because of the pandemic.

Pray for missionaries Al and Diane Mellinger, who return to the U.S. on August 5 for partnership building. Pray there will be no snags in their travel plans. Also, pray for their flexibility as they handle changes to their schedule during this time when restrictions are fluctuating.

The church in Thessaloniki, Greece, recently relocated to a temporary location. The organization Oasis is allowing them to use its space on Sundays. Please pray for this congregation during their period of transition.

Ukraine has been particularly hard hit with the coronavirus. They are currently experiencing 1000-1200 new cases daily. The virus only adds to existing problems creating a desperate situation in the nation. Pray for national leaders, Misha and Lena Petrochenko, as they take every opportunity to share Christ's love.

Please pray for healing and recovery for Pastor Julia from Peru, who is in the hospital due to COVID. 

Pray for pastors and leaders in Latin America dealing with emotional and physical issues due to the realities of leadership during what has been more than four months of strict quarantine measures, uncertainty, and lack of personal contact. Pray for God's protection on leaders and church members as cases of the coronavirus continue to surge across Latin America.

Praise the Lord for a sewing project in the Middle East, giving women a useful job skill. Thank the Lord for 28 industrial sewing machines donated for women who graduated from this program. Pray these women will succeed in their work as they use their new skills to provide for their children and find a sense of dignity in their community.

Free Methodist World Missions celebrates with Hany and Joanne, who were married on Saturday, August 1. Pray for them as they begin life and ministry together.

Praise the Lord for the dedicated ICCM National and Regional Coordinators who are the frontline workers for the ICCM program. Praise the Lord for the hostel house parents and schoolteachers who have daily contact with the children and are influencing their lives holistically. Pray the Lord will encourage them and fill them with joy.

Please pray for Ushwari, the young adult daughter of a weaver in the Dayanand Hand Loom Group. She was recently in a serious car accident. Ask the Lord to provide for all her needs. Pray for strength and encouragement throughout the long recovery process ahead.

Praise the Lord for the Set Free Movement team from Decatur, Illinois, who organized and hosted a retreat this past weekend for the staff and residents of Eden’s Glory. Participants report “beautiful moments of laughter, team building, leaning into the Holy Spirit and each other, and making lots of fun memories.” Pray for the continued encouragement of the staff and residents of Eden’s Glory.
