Please remain in prayer for Ethiopia and our Free Methodist churches there. The violence and tensions continue to escalate and spill over into areas of the country outside the Tigray region. Many are suffering, and there is increasing fear over the growing conflict.

Please pray for Pastor Debora, our national leader in Mali. Last week she was in a motorcycle accident and suffered some injuries. Pray for her healing and her continued fruitful ministry. She and her co-workers often share Jesus among their Muslim friends.
Due to a surge in the Omicron COVID variant, the General Conference of Creative Access Country Asia-IN will take place virtually on February 11. Pray for preparations being made, God's leading in the election of the bishop overseeing the Alpha conference, and wisdom regarding other business of the General Conference.

Pray for the leadership training modules scheduled for the first quarter of 2022. Although the modules will be taught virtually, please pray they will be effective and valuable in equipping our leaders in Southeast Asia.
Please pray for Misha Petrochenko, our country leader in Ukraine. He and his wife and children are all ill with COVID-19. Several in the church in Rivne are also sick and need our prayers.

International missionary to Spain, Raúl Araña has COVID and is struggling with symptoms. Please pray for a quick recovery and continuing health for his wife and daughter.

Please continue to pray for the Superintendent Blagoi Dimitrov of the Balkans Annual Conference, who was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer.
This week, leaders from Latin America are gathered for a Community Church Planting Summit in Medellín, Colombia. Pray the Holy Spirit will lead the presenters, and the participants will be inspired and united with one heart and purpose in spreading the gospel throughout Latin America.

Pray for pastors and leaders in Peru as they gather for their annual meeting, January 21-23. Ask the Father to encourage and inspire them during these days.
Join us this week in praying for:
  • the empowerment of new leaders to disciple others and start house churches
  • the opportunities church communities have to witness and share their faith through relief activities, Bible study groups and trauma counseling
  • discipling opportunities through house churches, small groups, children’s groups, women’s ministries and prison ministries
FMWM gives thanks for the life of former missionary Doris Thompson who passed away on January 13. Doris and her husband, Rev. Clancy Thompson, served Free Methodist World Missions for 27 years. They served in Brazil 1958-1971 and 1986-1989. From 1990-1996, Clancy served as the Latin America Area Director. Then in 1997, they moved to Indianapolis when Clancy assumed the position, Director of International Operations (1997-1999). He preceded her in death in May 2021. Please pray for their three sons, Brian, Mark, Steven, and the entire Thompson family. Services are pending. Memorials gifts can be given to Free Methodist World Missions.
This week pray specifically for ICCM children in countries where turmoil and increasing violence are causing fear and insecurity - the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Haiti and one Asia creative access country.

Every January, SEED analyzes last year's donations and product sales, then prayerfully looks forward at how best to serve livelihood groups in the coming year. Please ask God to give them much wisdom and discernment!

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Continue to pray for the work of Set Free Teams worldwide as together they seek to reduce vulnerabilities, create new futures and end human trafficking.

Pray for a team of Impact Latin America leaders from the U.S. attending a Community Church Planting Summit in Colombia.
