FMWM was saddened to learn that Bishop Hawkins Mugaya, FMC Bishop of Kenya, lost his only son in a motorcycle accident this past weekend. Ian was only 23-years-old and a former ICCM sponsored child. Pray for the Bishop and his family and the Kenyan FMC in this time of grief.

Ivory Coast leader, Maho, is conducting a two-week evangelistic program May 10-23 in Toulepleu. Pray that the Lord gives success in this outreach, bringing many people to Christ.

Praise the Lord for 28 people baptized in Katchalikadi, Togo, this past Sunday. Pray for continued growth for these new believers. 

Please continue to pray for Creative Access Country-MR. Political turmoil and violence continue to escalate. The pandemic is also raging across the country with little or no medical assistance available, but God is at work. One hundred thirty-nine new believers have been baptized since January 1 of this year. Please ask the Father to keep hope alive under persecution.

A resurgence of the pandemic across Southeast Asia has once again tightened restrictions in several countries. Pray for healing in these countries and more vaccines to become available. 

Urgent prayer is still needed for Creative Access Country-IN. The health crisis continues to be desperate.

Europe Area Director Josh Fajardo sends this request:

"Please remember to pray for Al and Diane Mellinger as they prepare to depart Bulgaria tomorrow, May 5, for Jackson, Michigan. The Mellingers have served in Petrich, Bulgaria, for almost 15 years. We are thankful for their commitment and service to the people of Bulgaria and FMWM. The Mellingers will be transitioning and serving with Mission Igniter (Southern Michigan Conference) as of July 1. We pray for safe travel to the U.S. and a healthy and smooth transition in the coming months."

Please continue in prayer for Abel Espindola, the 12-year-old son of Pastor Javier in Paraguay. Abel has gained weight and is finishing up a round of chemotherapy to treat bone cancer. He will hopefully have surgery soon. Pray for a miracle of God’s healing.

Pray for Colombia. The pandemic is again taking its toll. Hospitals are over-populated and running out of oxygen, and the supply of vaccines is not adequate for demand. Quarantines have again increased hunger rates. On top of this, the government has proposed an oppressive new tax program causing widespread protests. Despite these difficulties, God is at work.

Please pray for Joanne as she continues to work with the ongoing development of the Whole Woman Initiative. The aim is to see women restored to physical, emotional and spiritual wholeness by addressing their holistic health needs.

FMWM joins missionaries Gene and Minori Hall (Japan) in celebrating their daughter Mika's graduation from Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington. Mika graduated May 2 with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. Ask God to guide Mika in the coming days.

Thank God for a new branding name - “Wunders” - for the menstrual health project being developed by SEED, ICCM and Set Free. Pray for the Wunders team in Kenya as it is established.
