Please pray for missionary Ken Myers (Kenya) and his family. Ken's father, Galen Myers, has been placed on hospice care. Ask the Father to sustain them with His strength and peace during this difficult time.

Vickie Reynen will be traveling to Kenya next week. Pray for preparations for the trip, including getting a COVID test done and results back within the “limited” time frame being required. During her time in Kenya, she will meet with the Thrive group and connect with Tumaini Women Kenya. Pray for health and safety in all her travel.
Please pray for our Free Methodist brothers and sisters in Cambodia and Asia Creative Access Country - VN. Heavy rainfall has produced deadly flooding this past week, and an incoming tropical storm is expected to worsen the situation. Ask the Father to protect and provide for all those affected.

Praise the Lord for answered prayer for Pastora Tessie Chua in the Philippines. It is anticipated she will be released from the hospital on Wednesday, October 14, after being hospitalized for COVID-19 the past two weeks. Please continue praying for her return to full strength and health, and comfort following her husband's death.
Pray for several members and leaders in the Portugal churches who have contracted the coronavirus.

Spain, specifically Madrid, is now on lockdown because of several recent spikes in the coronavirus. In general, Europe is experiencing a second wave, and travel restrictions are expected in most European countries this week. Pray for members of the missionary team and the churches affected by the renewed restrictions.

Pray for Phil and Debra Gilmore (Spain), who will be traveling back to the U.S. on Wednesday, October 14, to attend the funeral service for Phil’s dad. Pray there will be no difficulties or delays in their travel.
Praise God for a successful annual meeting of the Costa Rica mission district last Saturday. Thank the Lord for Pastor Victor Quesada’s nearly six years of service as the mission district leader and his humble spirit through the leadership transition. Pastor Victor will continue as a local pastor. Pray for God’s continued blessings upon him, his family and their ongoing ministry. Please pray for the new Mission District Leader, Pastor Flores, as he assumes this new role.

Pray for the annual meeting of the 360 Mission District happening virtually this coming Saturday, October 17.
Last week, Dawlat, principal of the Good Shepherd Center, found out her husband and four children have contracted the coronavirus. Her husband recently had two open-heart surgeries, and as a result, has a compromised immune system. Pray for protection and healing for all of them. Pray the Lord will give peace to Dawlat and her family.
Please join us in giving thanks for the life of former missionary Rev. Dr. John Gilmore, who passed away Wednesday, October 7. John and his wife Alene served three terms as missionaries in the Dominican Republic. From 1974 to 1996, John served in several different positions for Free Methodist World Missions: Area Administrative Assistant to Latin America, Director of VISA, and Director of Personnel for Africa, Asia and Latin America. Funeral services will be held at the Free Methodist Church in Greenville, Illinois, at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 16. Memorials may be made to Free Methodist World Missions. Please be in prayer for the entire family, including John's five children: Rebecca, Philip, Joanna, Suzanna, and Marcos.
Praise the Lord for Connected Communities and their individual relationships with specific communities in various parts of the world. Pray all who are involved will be blessed and encouraged.

Feminine hygiene supplies are not readily available to many women around the world, causing great embarrassment and shame monthly. SEED, ICCM and the Set Free Movement are trying to create solutions. Pray for a pilot project in Africa beginning in the coming months. This livelihood project will sew reusable feminine hygiene products.

Praise the Lord for a successful surgery for Kevin Austin following a hiking accident. Please pray for his continued healing and recovery.
