Pray for churches in Togo. Due to a recent rise in COVID cases, the government has again ordered churches closed for one month. Pastor Dosseh Takpale asks us to pray for the encouragement and perseverance of church members through this time. Many are hungry to worship the Lord together.
Praise the Lord for 16 young adults recently baptized in Creative Access Asia-HK. Pray these young adults will continue to mature in their faith and walk in obedience to God.

Please continue to pray for Creative Access Asia-MR and our leadership there. Reports indicate there is increased fighting and unrest. Pray God will open doors for the gospel and provide a means for channeling needed support.
Praise the Lord! Six-year-old Giovanna Souza and her mother Jacione are now back in São Tome after Giovanna was seen by physicians in Portugal. She will continue her treatment plan for the next few months but is much improved. The Souza's send thanks for the prayers and gifts to help with her medical treatment. Pray for Giovanna's continued good health.

Several ministries at the ministry center in Budapest, Hungary, are beginning again – the preschool music group, a ladies discussion group, an elementary children’s group, a young mother’s group, and English classes. Pray for developing relationships with families in the community and hearts opened toward God.
Colombian church leaders will meet on Friday, September 17, to consider what qualities will be essential in electing their first superintendent in August 2022. Pray for wisdom, understanding and unity as they navigate the steps moving forward.

As a result of the pandemic and social instability in Chile, recent reports indicate that 50% of teens and young adults are suffering from depression. Pray for healing of mind and heart for the Chilean young people.

Keep praying for several Latin American leaders who have ongoing health concerns.
Relationships are of utmost importance to people in the Middle East. Pray for the church as they help those who feel alone and afraid find a place of safety and belonging.

Our workers in the Middle East are using FMWM Operation Hope Funds to provide care for refugees fleeing Afghanistan. Pray for those who are receiving the refugees. Pray their acts of compassion will bear witness to the love of Christ Jesus.
Free Methodist World Missions gives thanks for the life and faithful service of Dr. Paul Embree, who passed away Saturday, September 11 at the age of 95. Dr. Embree was preceded in death by his wife Esther in 2019. Together they served in Southern Rhodesia 1954-1967 and at Greenville Hospital in South Africa 1968-1972. A memorial service will be held at the Free Methodist Church in Modesto, California, on September 25 at 2 p.m.
Cambodia and other nations in Southeast Asia have been experiencing spikes in COVID cases recently. Many students are still unable to attend school in person, and adults are out of work because of shutdowns. Thank the Lord for those who have given to the Extended Table fund to help provide food for families. Pray for the children and families in these countries and continued resources to feed those who are hungry.

Pray for SEED director Rose Brewer as she travels to Kenya this week to fully launch the Wunders project there.

The Hungary Set Free team recently blessed 26 children at a local orphanage with school supplies donated by members of the local FMC. Thank the Lord and join the church and Set Free team in praying for these children to have futures filled with the hope found only in Christ.
