AFRICA
Pray about a complicated situation near one of our ICCM schools in Liberia. A young 25-year-old man was missing for several days and then found dead with body parts missing. This incident has resulted in other violence. Investigations by authorities are ongoing, but many parents are now afraid to send their children to school. Superintendent Rufus Kahn calls us to pray for the following:
  • calm to be restored
  • the perpetrators to be brought to justice
  • safety for Pastor Rufus and another leader who will travel there this week
  • the Lord to give courage to parents
  • God's intervention to end the killing of innocent people in this region

A woman in Sierra Leone recently became a believer as a result of miraculous healing. She and her daughters, as well as the pastor and church, are being threatened and persecuted because she has become a follower of Jesus. Pray for the faithfulness and boldness of the believers and the salvation of the persecutors.
ASIA
Rejoice and give thanks for more than 100 people recently baptized in Creative Access Asia -BG!

Please continue to pray for our leaders and churches in Creative Access Asia-MR. The socio-political situation remains desperate.

Ask the Father to comfort the family and friends of Pastora Paula Guazon from the Philippines. Pastora Paula ended a long battle with kidney disease last week. She was a faithful servant of God who touched many lives connecting them to the Jesus she loved. She helped plant the Filipino church in Hong Kong and was the first missionary commissioned by the Asia Pacific Free Methodist Missions Association, serving in Cambodia for several years. Paula had also served as a pastor and superintendent in the Northern Philippine Conference. We celebrate her life and legacy of caring for the most vulnerable and overlooked in the communities she served.
EUROPE
Join in praying for Michael and Maria Long and the FM Church in Greece to have wisdom as they develop a plan and a team to respond to the wave of Afghan refugees entering Greece and other parts of Europe.

Europe Area Director Josh Fajardo recently returned home to Madrid following a two-week ministry trip to Albania and Sao Tome. Upon his return home, he was diagnosed with COVID-19. He is having difficulty breathing and is very tired. Please pray he will be able to rest and recover without the need for hospitalization.
LATIN AMERICA
Please continue to pray for Haiti. Gangs have taken over many areas of the country. They are robbing and kidnapping people who travel the roads between Port au Prince and the earthquake zone, making it unsafe to take supplies to the area. The areas around the Parc Chretien Church, the general conference office, ICCM headquarters, and Bible College are also very dangerous. Bishop Desvariste calls us to pray but also to join them in rejoicing. The Parc Chretien Church had a day of prayer and fasting earlier this month. Despite the dangers, more than 700 people attended the service that day, and three people came to know Christ. Pray for God's people to stand firm in the faith and be faithful in prayer, trusting God for deliverance.
MIDDLE EAST
Pray for several new groups in Egypt and also for the women's leadership group training.

Pray for a trauma team training in Iraq.

Pray for workers in the Middle East who are receiving and caring for Afghan refugees. Pray their act of kindness and compassion will bear witness to Christ. The FMWM Operation Hope Fund helps provide for Afghan refugee assistance.
INTERNATIONAL CHILD CARE MINISTRIES
Join ICCM in praying the Lord will provide sponsors for several older children, 13 and 14-year-olds, who need sponsorship to help them finish out their primary education.

SEED
Pray for the Wunders Kenya team and SEED Director Rose Brewer as they officially launch the Wunders Kenya pilot project this week. Pray this project can be an economically self-sustaining small business ministry.

SET FREE MOVEMENT
The Central Valley Set Free Team (Turlock, California) will host their 6th annual Freedom Run this Saturday, September 25. The run will take place in person and virtually from all over the U.S. Proceeds will benefit the Set Free Movement and the restoration home in Monterey Bay, California. Pray this event will not only help in raising funds but will impact community awareness of human trafficking. Registrations are accepted until September 24; click here to register.
