Missouri Right to Life congratulates Josh Hawley and his family on his position as Missouri's newest U.S. Senator!

Sen. Hawley was sworn into office on Thursday, January 3, 2019. We are thankful for his pro-life work as Missouri's Attorney General and we look forward to Senator Hawley's work in the U.S. Senate to pass laws that will protect and defend innocent human lives.

Missouri Right to Life also congratulates Missouri's new Attorney General, Eric Schmitt, and his family on his new position as Missouri's Chief Law Enforcement Officer!

Attorney General Schmitt was sworn in to office at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019. He becomes Missouri's 43rd Chief Law Enforcement Officer.

We look forward to AG Schmitt's leadership in defending common sense laws that give protection to innocent human lives.

Missouri Right to Life looks forward to working with these two new public servants as they work to pass and protect life-saving laws that will protect innocent human lives from inception to natural death.

Legislative Update - January 4, 2019

The 2019 legislative session kicks off at noon on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

Please pray for our elected officials in the State House and Senate and in the U.S. House and Senate as they begin their important work. Pray for the passage of pro-life legislation to protect innocent human lives at every stage of development whether at the beginning of life or in end of life decisions.

Pre-filing of legislation continues in the State House and Senate. To date there have been 200 bills and 14 various resolutions filed in the Senate. There have been 401 bills and 17 various resolutions filed in the House.
 
Your Missouri Right to Life Legislative Team is working with legislators on pro-life bills to file for the 2019 legislative session. We continue to review all bills filed and will be reporting weekly in the lifelines during the legislative session. 

We will update you on bills that have either a positive or negative impact on our ability to protect innocent human lives at every stage of life and development.
