MISSOURI HOUSE PASSES THE “BORN ALIVE ABORTION SURVIVOR’S PROTECTION ACT” AND PRESIDENT TRUMP VOWS TO LOOK AT THE SELLING OF BABY BODY PARTS FROM ABORTIONS

Statement from Susan Klein, Executive Director of Missouri Right to Life:

“On Thursday, March 27, the Missouri House of Representatives passed HB’s 195 & 1119, Sponsors: Rep. Brian Seitz (HD 156) & Rep. Holly Jones (HD 88) worked to pass this important life-saving legislation that would protect babies born alive after abortion and guarantee that they receive the same medical care as a baby born alive through the birthing process. The bill was third read and passed by a vote of 109 yes to 32 no. The bill will now move to the Missouri Senate for a hearing and debate.

While the pro-abortion Democrats joked about the title of the bill on the floor of the House and disparaged Republicans for wanting to pass legislation to ensure protection for these babies born alive, pro-life Republicans stood up as the voice for these babies who have no voice.

We thank all those who voted for HB’s 195 & 1119 and for the protection of these innocent tiny babies.

Missouri Right to LIfe looks forward to continuing our support for this life-saving legislation in the Senate!

Missouri Right to Life also praises President Donald Trump for vowing to look into the selling of baby body parts from abortions.

A baby born alive after an abortion and left to die would be considered a product for sale by the abortion industry.

This would make one wonder why those who support abortion do not want to ensure that babies who are born alive after an abortion get care? Hmmm…”

Pro-Life Action Day 2025

Pro-Life Missourians Rallied to “Repeal and Replace” Amendment 3

This past Wednesday, March 26, hundreds of pro-life Missourians came to the Missouri Capitol to rally for life and to talk to their legislators asking them to pass the Committee Sub for SJR 33. SCS for SJR 33 will place on the ballot a chance for Missourians to repeal and replace Amendment 3 with language which truly represents the pro-life positions of most Missouri residents.

During our rally we heard from our keynote speakers, Dr. Susan Bane, an OB-GYN and Vice Chair of the American Association of Pro-life OB-GYNS (AAPLOG) and Rebecca Weaver, Director of Advocacy and Policy for AAPLOG Action.

Dr. Bane is the medical director for 4 different pregnancy resource centers in North Carolina and has family that lives in Missouri. She told us what is real health care for women and told us of the devastating impact of abortion and particularly the abortion pill on women.

Ms. Weaver told us of all that AAPLOG Action is working to accomplish in the battle to restore protection for human life.

We also heard greetings from our pro-life, Lt Governor, Dave Wasinger, our pro-life Secretary of State Denny Hoskins, our pro-life State Treasurer, Vivek Malek and Senator Adam Schnelting, sponsor of SJR 33.
