Action Alert! Immediate Action Needed!
In the Missouri House, staunch pro-life Representatives passed HCS HB 2012, a pro-life omnibus bill, the last week of March. The underlying bill was Representative Hannah Kelly’s HB 2012, which expanded on protections to keep baby body parts from being shipped out of state. The following additional pro-life bills/language were added by way of amendment:

  • HB 1854 (Rep. Nick Schroer) defunds Planned Parenthood because the Biden administration is attempting at every turn to get rid of the Hyde Amendment
  • HB’s 1593 & 1959 (Rep. Sarah Walsh and Rep. Doug Richey)—the “Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act” giving care to babies born alive after an abortion
  • Amendment by Rep. Adam Schnelting for prosecution of criminal conduct for anyone committing the crime of rape or incest resulting in a pregnancy
  • HB 2810 (Rep. Brian Seitz) Regulates abortion inducing drugs shipped to Missouri residents without an in-person consultation with a physician. This language prevents the “trafficking of abortion-inducing drugs.”

In addition to this pro-life omnibus bill, the Senate is moving forward a combined Joint Resolution (SJR 52 & 53) that would ensure that abortion is not a constitutional right in Missouri.

Please contact your pro-life Senators and ask them to do all they can to pass HCS HB 2012 as amended and SJR 52 & 53 without changes.

We must do all we can to get these bills to the finish line to protect innocent human life in Missouri!
