Purest Love

When a mother looks into the eyes of her baby you will see the purest love on earth

from one human to another. 

Is it any wonder that Satan seeks to destroy that love? It is the closest thing we humans

have and a visible example of the love of God. It’s not deserved, it’s not based on merit, looks,

or good behavior, it just is.

No mom is perfect and sadly, some let the trials and challenges of life invade their heart,

their thinking and their relationships. 

But most moms are:

a shoulder to cry on,

a friend to count on,

someone who will give up hours of her day,

someone who holds the family together,

someone who will correct you when you need it, and

someone who will love you with every fiber of her being.

All we are, they helped us to be. We owe so much to our mothers. If you can, tell her this weekend.

As we move into the last week of the 2025 legislative session, life hangs in the balance for babies and pregnant women.

The passage of HCS HJR 73 is imperative to get abortion on demand all 9 months of pregnancy out of our Missouri Constitution and protect women from unsafe facilities.

With the recent passage of Amendment 3 by a razor thin margin of 1.6 % and millions of dollars of out of state money spent to lie and deceive Missourians, women and babies are in danger.

It is time for the Senate to act to “Restore respect for Women and Babies” in our Missouri Constitution.

With safety regulations being removed from state law by the courts. With pro-abortion supporters and Planned Parenthood filing lawsuits and arguing in court to take away parental consent for a minor to have an abortion, the pro-Amendment 3 supporters are now showing that what they were saying to pass Amendment 3 were absolute lies. It was their intent all along to put babies and women in harm’s way.

MISSOURI HOUSE GIVES FINAL APPROVAL TO THE SENATE EXPANSION OF HB 121

VOTES TO SEND HB 121 TO THE GOVERNOR

HB 121 sponsored by Rep. Jim Murphy, began as a bill creating a fund to help communities put in place newborn safety incubators for new parents to relinquish a newborn child with no questions asked. And, that the baby may be dropped off at the local safety incubator for up to 90 days.

This was a good bill as it began and was expanded in the Senate Substitute under the Senate leadership of Senator Mary Elizabeth Coleman. SS SCS HB 121 was supported with a bi-partisan vote of 31 yes, 1 no and 2 absent. SS SCS HB 121 was sent back to the House for final votes. Thursday morning the House Fiscal Review Committee voted the bill out and sent to the full House for the final vote. The House Fiscal Review Committee vote was bi-partisan with 8 yes and 0 no. The full House truly agreed and finally passed HB 121 by a vote of 136 yes, 1 no, 3 present, 21 absent and 2 vacancies.

SS SCS HB 121 now includes the following: 

1. Establishes a fund to help with adoptions, helping to make adoptions more affordable.
2. Increases tax credits for Maternity Homes.
3. Increases tax credits for a “National Diaper Bank”.
4. Sets up a Fund to help communities install newborn safety incubators
5. Increases the drop off time for new parents to relinquish a newborn child from 45 days to 90 days.

Missouri Right to Life thanks all legislators who have voted for and helped bring this important pro-life legislation to completion…upon the final vote of the Missouri House of Representatives.

BUDGET REPORT: 



As we continue to review the final numbers of the budget, here is an initial overview of some pro-life provisions of budget bills.

1. HB 10 – Department of Health and Senior Services: Multiple sections of funding for maternal healthcare during pregnancy and post-partum care
2. HB 11 – Department of Social Services: In addition to the following funding, there are multiple sections of funding for adoption, maternity homes and helps with/for pregnancy and children’s health insurance programs
3. HB 11 – Alternatives to Abortion Program: 11.285 - $10,300,000 and $550, 000 for public awareness program
4. HB 11 – Adoptions, Maternity Hones and Diaper Banks – 11.286 - $2,000,000
