The Biden Administration will stop at nothing to promote abortion across the U.S. His recent proposed budget removes the Hyde Amendment that has been in place since 1976. The Hyde Amendment prohibits federal funds from being used for abortions. (See the article at the link below.)
In Missouri for many years we have prohibited the use of Missouri tax dollars from paying for abortions and destructive embryonic stem cell research with language in several budget bills. Last year, the Missouri Supreme Court held that doing that in the budget was unconstitutional. We must pass this language in a piece of legislation.
The Federal Reimbursement Allowance (FRA) is legislation that allows Missouri to recoup the federal part of the Medicaid program and reimburse for services. It must be passed every year. The legislature failed to pass it in the regular session before the May 14th deadline. It must now be brought back to the legislature in a special session and passed before September 30th.
Missouri Right to Life is asking the legislature to attach language to the Federal Reimbursement Allowance (FRA) legislation that would prevent our federal tax dollars from being used to pay for abortions and abortion-causing drugs. The actual number of this bill will not be determined until the special session is called by the Governor.
Please contact your Representative and Senator and ask them to request House and Senate leadership protect unborn babies and the rights of tax-payers to refuse to fund abortion or abortion causing drugs in the special session.

Legislator Lookup. Also, please contact Governor Mike Parson and ask him to support the pro-life language requested by MRL for the Federal Reimbursement Allowance (FRA). Governor Parson’s phone number is 573-751-3222
