Judge Rules on Ballot Language for
2026 Amendment 3
While we are grateful that Judge Green’s ruling allows HJR 73 (the 2026 Amendment 3) to move forward and that he ruled that there is not more than one subject, and that all issues in 2026 Amendment 3 are under the titling of “reproductive health”, we are disappointed in his ruling to require a rewrite of truthful ballot language that has been painstakingly vetted during the 2025 legislative session by the duly elected Missouri Legislature.
Read more below and watch for updates as we await the next ruling.

Missouri Right to Life Disagrees With Judge Green Ruling on Rewriting the Truthful Ballot Language of the 2026 Amendment 3
Missouri Right to Life Supports Giving the Truth to the Voters
Late Friday afternoon, September 19th, as the world was still grieving Charlie Kirk and preparing for his memorial, Judge Dan Green issued a ruling on HJR 73 (the 2026 Amendment 3) to allow it to go on the ballot in 2026 but in the same ruling requiring a rewrite of the already vetted truthful ballot language. This case was brought by the liberal left ACLU and supported by Planned Parenthood.
“Missouri Right to Life is very disappointed in the judge’s decision requiring the ballot language rewrite and supports the language originally passed by the duly elected representatives of the people in the 2025 legislative session. This is the language that Missouri voters should see on the ballot”, said Susan Klein, Executive Director of Missouri Right to Life.
