Kathleen Marden was just 13 when her aunt, Betty Hill, phoned her mother (Betty’s sister) to discuss her disquieting circumstance. She revealed concern over a “flying saucer” that hovered low above her 1957 Chevy, hours earlier, and Barney had direct exposure to it. Kathleen and her mother, Janet, feared for the safety of their loved ones who might have been exposed to dangerous contamination. Janet phoned a neighbor, a physicist, and spoke personally to him and the chief of police in a neighboring New Hampshire town. Within two days, Kathleen and her family traveled to the Hills’ home for a firsthand account of what occurred and to view some of the perplexing evidence. Kathleen witnessed the event’s emotional impact on the Hills, as the story unfolded, and, for the past 30 years, has conducted her own investigation, leaving no stone unturned. Her search for scientific evidence did not end with the publication of her book, with nuclear physicist Stanton T. Friedman MSc (1934-2019), “Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience.”
